Oyster Bay
Marlborough Pinot Noir
A whole new world of flavour.
Fragrant dark cherry with juicy black plum, elegant and silky.
Recently awarded 95 points and a Gold Medal at the International Wine Challenge.
Our first vintage of Pinot Noir was coined ‘the elusive stuff of dreams’ by UK wine writer Giles Kime. A youthful expressiveness, with seductive silky complexity and dark fruit flavours from our vineyards across the Marlborough region.
With Pinot Noir the fruit is always the primary focus. Marlborough’s warm days and cool nights make it an ideal climate for growing the famously temperamental grape. Matured in French oak barrels the result is fragrant, soft, and flavorful, with aromas of ripe cherries and sweet fruit tannins that provide structure and length. Elegant, cool climate Pinot Noir at its best.

With Pinot Noir the fruit is always the primary focus. Each vineyard block is harvested as a separate parcel and treated individually at each stage of the winemaking process. This enables us to tailor traditional winemaking techniques to the wine, providing elegance and complexity.
We use a combination of barrel and tank fermentation and mature the wine in a range of new and older French oak.
Oyster Bay Pinot Noir is elegant, cool climate Pinot Noir at its best. Fragrant, soft and flavourful red wine, with aromas of ripe cherries and sweet fruit tannins that provide structure and length.
Our winemaking philosophy is to capture the special character of New Zealand’s cool climate viticulture – to consistently produce distinctly regional wines that are elegant and assertive with glorious fruit flavours.
The flavours we love so much are there from the moment we pick the grapes. They come from the unique cool climate and ancient soils where our vines grow and we work hard, using a science and a love of the land to create remarkable flavours in every bunch.
We call these elegant and assertive wines with glorious fruit flavours.
Uniquely New Zealand, undeniably Oyster Bay.
